Mentalist Guide

Class Overview - The Mentalist overall is a balanced class. The lines are overall pretty even in power and how useful they are. Illusions (Light Magic) - Illusions bases more of it's powers in the powers of Charming. With a charm, DD and AE DD, the light line can be powerful. Charm takes a mob and makes the mob fight for the caster. It is limited to 110% of the spec into light. DD and AE DD are both heat based spells. The AE takes longer to cast but it takes about the same amount of power as the Single Target DD. Holism (Mana Magic) - Holism provides mentalists with a lot more group utility. As it provides Mana Regen and a Heal over Time. Als...

Druid Soloing Guide

A solo character should obviously focus his attention on Nurture and Nature Affinity. Of course, a soloing druid will need a pet to accompany him. A pet may generally be considered as a form of DoT as well as a walking "punching bag" to take hits for you once in a while. The buffs become extremely important for both you AND your pet, so the Nurture specialization is a must. A suggestion I could make is that a solo druid should stop adding spec points in Nature Affinity when he/she reaches level 32 in that spec line. You will have then reached the highest possible Summon Pet spell. All other points should then be spent on Nurture, an...

Ranger Hunting Guide

HIBERNIA: LvL 11 - 12 Lumanshee(sp) Just north (find the stablemaster and go north for about 100 feet or so) of Tir mBeo is a small patch of woods. There are alot of Lums to kill and also wolves are plentiful (which offer a neg on hits). mBeo is close and you can bind/sell there LvL 15 - 17 Miner camp. Is part of your quest at 15 anyway so might as well exp there. In fact some nice gloves and items can drop from there as well. If you stay high on the hill exp is good and safe. Bind in Howth and Go straight east. Swim across the water and keep running east until you see a camp. Just north is a cove of trees. Siabra Miners and Archers are there...

Healer Guide

1.1 Origins of the Healer Eir is the physician to the gods of Asgard. Whenever any of the gods or goddesses were ailing, Eir would care for them. Since the distant past, folk who were proficient in the healing arts often chose Eir as their patron deity and in return for their fealty, Eir often granted powerful spells that could heal the wounded or sick, cure poison and disease, and strengthen. 1.2 Healers in Dark Age of Camelot Healers are a very group oriented class. You do have the ability to solo, but it is in a group where the healer shines and becomes the most fun to play. You are truly a support class but with the diversity that exists ...

Shadowblade FAQ (DROPS+GEAR)

I. CHARACTER CREATION I.a. What race makes the best Shadowblade? As with many classes, there isn’t necessarily a best race to play a Shadowblade; Norse, Kobolds and Valkyn all have their advantages. Norse have the advantage of higher STR and CON. This is a win for Shadowblades, because we are limited to slashing damage, which is 100% STR based. And, the extra CON plays to our strength of being the assassins with the most HP. Further, DEX and QUI go up quickly as you gain levels, while STR goes up slowly and CON does not improve at all for Shadowblades. So, starting with a higher STR and CON is a good thing. Kobolds have the advantages of high...

Hunter FAQ (Very Large;DROPS+GEAR)

1. What's the best race for a Hunter? Because of the emergence of realm abilities, certain races are better than others in the longer run. The usefulness of Falcon's Eye and Mastery of Pain makes high DEX races less desirable, because the points spent on buying the prerequisite Augmented Dexterity II will be wasted on Kobolds. While Kobolds have an advantage in the beginning game, by level 50 they will have a slight disadvantage due to these wasted attribute points. It is fairly common for Norsemen/Dwarves to be able to reach 300 DEX (the effective maximum) with only +10 into their starting DEX and Augmented Dexterity II (adding another +12)....

Newbie Guide- Get Up and start playin!

Dark Age of Camelot Newbie Guide This guide is to help you get started playing the game and help you through the first few levels. It is by no means definitive, and I suggest you also look at the official guides contained at https://support.darkageofcamelot.com/. Still, I hope it can make things a little easier at start up. I. Before you play the game OK, you've loaded up the game, signed up for your account, downloaded the new version, and now are finally logged into the startup screen. Now what? The first thing you need to do is choose a server. There is no difference in lag or speed or gameplay between the servers. The only server that is ...

New RVR guide for NF

since nf came out ive found it harder and harder to get a chance to land good pbae's and on my 50 sm i switched to Darkness spec (90% lifetaps) basiccaly made more rps in one night that spec then i did suppression, now thats mainly for rvr, if u wanna pve alot more stick with the PBaE spec line, but remeber gets harder depening on the class to use baseline nukes, in my oppinion. now keep defense. i see alotta ppl standing way up top when ppl are at 2nd door already. dont there are 2 lil windows on both side of the door where u can clearly see ppl/ram all u need to do if tall enuff (sry luri's, and Kobbies, unless u can time the jump well) jus...
