u can pick starting city but bata onry has 1 to pick from , dont know if its char. specific or if anyone can start anywhere!

I heard that they are not char specific towns.

Gridania = Windy

Limsa Lominsa = Sandy = Though they got pirates!!

Ul'dah = Bastok

My job will be a Paladin, (Sam) is their katanas.

what about you guyz ?

piratecity sounds like a winner , i wanna do a job simular to THF or NIN! havent messed around too much ... servers are still being tricky and updated for 2-4 days straight!

u guys better try out the FFXIV benchmark program so u see if ur system will handle it ..... it does not support the onboard Videocard .... so be prepared! link for it u can find on FFXIAH just search for it!

yeah i alrdy ran the benchmark. I had around 5.5k medium on low and high

I ran the benchmark. Didn't score all too high (2-3k range) but it ran and looked pretty damn good, so if the game is anything like the benchmark I should be good to go.

Do not take benchmark into consideration too much. It was said in numerous occasions that there are problems with the CPU and GPU aspect of the benchmark. Meaning you probably scored higher then the benchmark gave u.

As long as I can run it pretty decently I'll be happy. I'm just pumped up to play it.

Took some vacation days for the 8 days early release lol.

Have you guys already decided on jobs/race/starting city and all that?

Hey all if any of you are on Saronia i've been around since Alpha test stage 9 till now and i'm Rank 30PGL atm send me a private message if ya wanna kick it in game. currently looking for new Grinding LS's kinda hoping hammy or someone works on some cool XIV stuff too
