Right-Click SILKROAD icon and go to properties.
Go to Compatibility Tab
Check Run program in compatibility mode for:
and select Windows XP Service Pack 2
That should fix it and if that does not work then right click and run as administrator. That fixed it for me and I am not on again with my laptop
